Monthly Virtual Workshop Series
Monthly Virtual Workshop Series
Join us for a bookmaking workshop featuring, Sherry Jankiewicz, Artist, Educator, and Clinical Assistant Professor from UT! Bookmaking is a powerful art form to build and share personal stories and ideas. Modern bookmaking began with the invention of the printing press, and contemporary artists have turned the book into sculptural forms. In this workshop, participants will make 3 different book forms for sketchbooks or narrative structures. Sherry will share a sketchbook cover assignment that her former middle school students enjoyed and additional resources for other book styles. The book forms presented would work well for upper elementary to high school students. Participants will receive a PowerPoint presentation with resources for additional bookmaking videos, as well as a certificate of participation!
