“Be An Arts Advocate”
“The arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic...music, dance, painting, and theatre are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.”
tn4arts
TN4ARTS works to support, defend and expand public funding for the arts. They work to educate their members and partners by (a) providing effective advocacy practice, (b) supporting the work of Tennessee’s state legislative arts caucus, and (c) defending the specialty license plate program which provides 80% of the funds granted to nonprofit organizations through the Tennessee Arts Commission.
Each year, the Tennessee Arts Commission facilitates investments into the arts community through grants. These grant programs help fund the arts activities of more than 800 nonprofits, schools, and local governments in Tennessee.
